James Wilson resigned during a special meeting last week

The East Gibson School Corporation is expected to name an interim superintendent soon, after James Wilson resigned last week. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The East Gibson district notified Wilson two weeks ago that it intended to fire him.

Days later, he was arrested for drunken driving.

The district’s school board accepted Wilson’s resignation on Thursday.

In a release, the board said that at no point were kids in any danger.

Some parents said the school corporation should have been more transparent about the situation.

The board said Wilson will continue to receive pay and benefits for the next three months.
