Strong storms dropped more than two inches of rain on the Evansville area. WNIN’s John Gibson has a recap:
The National Weather Service recorded 2.14 inches of rain at Evansville Regional Airport Sunday night through Monday morning.
Some locations saw higher amounts, causing scattered flooding.
No major damage was reported.
The heavy rain followed reports of two tornadoes in western Kentucky Saturday night.
One EF-1 twister touched down in the town of Hickman. The other hit Hickman County.
The tornadoes downed trees, power lines, and destroyed at least one grain bin.
There was no word of injuries.
