Conservation officers say the 15-year-old hit an embankment

A 15-year-old has died in the crash of an off-road vehicle in Dubois County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana Conservation Officers say it happened Saturday evening near Dubois County Road 900-East, just south of State Road 164.

First responders found a juvenile operating a side-by-side off-road vehicle had lost control of the vehicle and hit an embankment.

They said the teen was not wearing any safety gear at the time of the tragedy.

The 15-year-old’s name was not released.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources urges all ORV operators and passengers to wear a helmet, protective riding gear, and use seat belts.
