Temperatures are expected to rise this week in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
The Evansville area has avoided the extreme heat felt in the Southwest and South recently, but our luck may be running out.
The National Weather Service is predicting high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90’s Thursday and Friday, with heat index values in the triple digits.
At this point, actual temperatures are forecast to stay below 100.
There are slight chances for showers and thunderstorms through the week.
The heat wave in much of the southern U.S. is expected to push into August.
