Visit Evansville Becomes Explore Evansville
The destination marketing group has rebranded itself
The Evansville area’s “destination marketing organization” has a new name. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
First it was known as the Evansville Convention & Visitors Bureau, then Visit Evansville, and now Explore Evansville.
The organization works to attract visitors and fill area hotels, which generates Innkeeper’s Tax revenue.
The group says it’s boosted the local tourism infrastructure by investing more than $40 million in brick-and-mortar projects since 1995.
Explore Evansville says by fueling the success of hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, and other sectors, the group fosters a business environment that benefits the entire community.
Explore Evansville President and CEO Alexis Berggren says the new “visual identity” acknowledges the unique geography and authentic charm of Evansville.
She invites everyone to become “Explorers.”
