Crews raise the new Victory sign at Main and 6th streets in Downtown Evansville on Tuesday

The sign is a replica of the theater's sign from the 1920's

The historic Victory Theater in Downtown Evansville is looking more like it did 100 years ago. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:

Crews are installing a replica of the tall sign that adorned the Victory in its early days.

Funds had to be raised and supply chain issues slowed the project, but the sign is finally a reality.

A lighting ceremony is set for Friday, August 11^th. The event starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Victory will host live music from Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, at 8:00 that evening.
