One teen is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Owensboro. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
It happened Saturday night in the 1800 Block of Hughes Avenue, where police say they found a juvenile male with multiple gunshot wounds.
The OPD says officers provided immediate lifesaving measures until AMR and Owensboro firefighters arrived and took over medical care.
The juvenile was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where he later died.
He was identified as 16 year old Demarion Black.
The suspect in Black’s death – another 16 year old male -- was taken into custody Monday.
He faces charges of murder and possession of a handgun by a minor.
