New Trash Bins, Guidelines Coming to Henderson

City of Henderson

The new bins will keep trash under lids

Henderson residents will see new trash bins delivered to their homes next month. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The city of Henderson says the new collection bins will arrive at residents homes the week of July 10th.

The 96-gallon rolling cans will be delivered at no charge but an additional bin will cost $5 a month for a minimum of six months.

Henderson officials say residents will be required to place all trash they want collected in the City-issued bins with the lid closed.

Sanitation Superintendent David Steele says the new streamlined system will create a better and safer working environment for his employees.

Steele also says the bins will help create a cleaner city by having everything contained under lids.

Any residents with questions or concerns can contact the Henderson Sanitation Department at 270-854-2064.
