A mother is critically wounded and her son is in custody after a shooting in Henderson. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The HPD says say it happened in the 1600 Block of Powell Street Wednesday afternoon.
Police say 38-year-old Maegan Fulkerson was shot multiple times and officers provided aid until an ambulance arrived and took her to a hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses told police 21-year-old Shon Denton-Higgs shot Fulkerson and fled the scene.
Police found Higgs at a relative’s residence and was taken into custody without incident.
The HPD says Fulkerson is the mother of Higgs and they had argued prior to the shooting.
Higgs was charged with Attempted Murder and is being held at the Henderson County Detention Center.
