Owensboro Regional Airport is offering something Evansville Regional is not: flights to Chicago. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Officials have formally announced a dozen flights per week between Owensboro and Chicago-O’Hare on Contour Airlines.
The flights on jets that seat 30 passengers are scheduled to begin August 1st.
Contour will drop its flights between Owensboro and Charlotte to make way for the Chicago route.
OWB also offers flights to Nashville, St. Louis, and Orlando.
Evansville Regional is working to bring back Chicago flights, after United and then American airlines dropped the service.
EVV currently provides flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and Orlando, with seasonal flights to Destin, Florida.
