Lane restrictions are coming to the main route between Evansville and Newburgh. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Indiana Department of Transportation says as soon as Monday, crews will begin an improvement project at State Road 66 and Epworth Road.
INDOT says westbound lanes of 66 will be reduced from three lanes to two, between Grimm Road and I-69.
A 10-feet width restriction will also be in place for both east and westbound lanes.
Traffic on Epworth, north of the intersection, will also be restricted.
INDOT says traffic on the south side of the intersection will not be impacted.
The work is phase one of a project to build a displaced left turn at the intersection.
The entire project is expected to last through December.
