Commencement ceremonies conducted for graduates

50 students have earned master’s degrees at St. Meinrad. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Seminary and School of Theology in Spencer County conducted commencement ceremonies over the weekend.

14 of the graduates received Masters of Divinity, the most common degree for Catholic priests.

Four others earned Masters of Arts in Philosophical Studies and 22 received Masters of Arts in Theology.

The archbishop of the Diocese of Louisville, The Most Rev. Shelton Fabre, delivered the commencement address.

St. Meinrad Archabbey was founded in 1854 by Swiss monks.

About 80 monks reside at St. Meinrad.
