Democratic Evansville Mayoral Candidate Stephanie Terry has kicked off her fall campaign, following Tuesday’s primary election. WNIN's John Gibson has more:

Natalie Rascher defeated Cheryl Musgrave for the Republican mayoral nomination, while Terry was unopposed on the Democratic ballot.

Terry is highlighting her experience on the Vanderburgh County Council and drawing on what she says are some of her strongest qualities: abilities to listen and build relationships.

In a release, Terry said while she now knows who she’ll face in the November election – Rascher, along with Libertarian Michael Daugherty -- it doesn’t change much for her.

Terry says it’s still about bringing people together, listening, leading, and serving.

In the coming days, Terry says she will launch a listening tour.

Barring a major upset, Evansville residents will elect their first female mayor this fall.
