Crews plan to upgrade the navigational lights on the Twin Bridges this Monday. As WNIN’s John Gibson reports, the work will require lane restrictions:
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says drivers should expect restrictions on the bridges from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Officials say the work will start on the northbound span and switch to the southbound bridge around midday.
The cabinet says the upgraded navigational equipment will require less maintenance which will provide a more reliable navigational light system for river traffic.
Officials say the new lights should also reduce future lane closures on the Twin Bridges.
