Boil Advisory Issued for Grayville

File

It was issued after the city's main water line ruptured

People in Grayville, Illinois are being urged to boil their tap water. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The City of Grayville says all of its customers are under a boil water advisory until further notice.

Officials say the main water line that feeds the city’s water tower ruptured, forcing a total shut down of the water system.

If and when water service is restored, customers should bring all tap water to a rolling boil before using it for cooking or drinking.

The City of Grayville says it regrets the inconvenience to its residents and businesses.

Once two consecutive water samples have been deemed safe, the boil order will be lifted.
