A statewide trails group is honoring Evansville’s deputy mayor. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Greenways Foundation of Indiana has named Steve Schaefer “Outstanding Public Official” of 2023.
Schaefer has been serving as the city’s interim parks director for nearly two years.
The foundation has also named Terre Haute-based Garmong Construction, which has a facility in Evansville, “Outstanding Corporation.”
Those and six more Indiana Greenways Awards will be presented at a luncheon in Indianapolis April 25th.
