A number of residents and businesses in Posey County are advised to boil their tap water. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Damage to a water main prompted the German Township Water District to issue a Boil Advisory for the intersection of Highway 66 and Winery Road and areas northwest of the intersection.
The advisory includes customers in Blairsville, Wadesville, and Stewartsville.
The water district says repairs to the water main have been completed but water pressure fell below safety limits during the work.
Officials say contamination is unlikely but they recommend boiling all tap water for five minutes before using for cooking or drinking until the advisory is lifted.
