Storms Rake Region; Twister Hits Louisville

File

A possible tornado was reported in Spencer County

The storm system that rolled through the Evansville area Wednesday spawned a tornado in Louisville.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg says he believes at least one person was killed in the twister.

Most of the damage done by EF-1 tornado was reported in the south and southwest sections of the city.

Wind speeds up to 80 miles per hour were recorded.

Before the storm system hit Louisville, scattered damage was reported in the Tri-State, where the National Weather Service issued a series of Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.

A barn was demolished in Spencer County, after the Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning there.
