UE Announces Awards for 4 Local Educators

The four were surprised at school assemblies

The University of Evansville has presented its Outstanding Educator Awards to four individuals. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

UE says the winners received a surprise announcement at each of their schools as part of the 32nd annual presentation. 

The Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year award went to Briana Campbell, a first grade teacher at Lodge Community School.

Jance Johnston, a sixth grade teacher at Delaware was named Outstanding Middle School Teacher.

Outstanding High School Teacher went to Timothy Wilhelmus, an eleventh and twelfth grade teacher at Central High School.

And Chris Gibson at New Tech Institute was named Outstanding Building Administrator of the Year.

The local competition recognizes current classroom teachers and building principals in grades K-thru-12 with at least three years of experience.
