Gibson County sheriff’s deputies have traveled north to help tornado recovery efforts in Sullivan, Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says five members of his office made the trip yesterday (Sun) to assist the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office with security and traffic at the scene of Friday night’s deadly tornado.
In a release, Sheriff Vanoven said “no sheriff stands alone.”
The twister claimed three lives three in Sullivan County, about 80 miles north of Evansville.
Several people were rescued, with as many as 12 injured.
The tornado was part of an outbreak of deadly storms that struck the South and Midwest on Friday.
