Central Library replaces Old National Events Plaza; McCollough moves to Washington Square

Early voting for the May 2nd Primary gets underway next week with a couple of location changes in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Vanderburgh County Clerk Carla Hayden says early balloting for the primary will begin Tuesday at Central Library in Downtown Evansville.

That’s a change from Old National Events Plaza, which Hayden says was not able to host the entirety of the early voting period due to a scheduling conflict.

Hayden says officials approached Central Library and the EVPL was “happy to oblige.”

Early voting at Central will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The other location change is due to renovations at McCollough Library. The work will move early voting there to Washington Square Mall.

The biggest race in Evansville is on the Republican ballot, where County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave and financial advisor Natalie Rascher are seeking the party’s nomination for mayor.

Vanderburgh County Councilwoman Stephanie Terry is unopposed on the Democratic ballot.
