The mayor says he's available to talk about the city-county building commission

The president of the Vanderburgh County Commission has sent a letter to the Evansville Mayor about choosing a new city-county building commissioner. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The letter signed by Commission President Cheryl Musgrave says Commissioners want to meet with Mayor Lloyd Winnecke about selecting a new building commissioner, as well as addressing what the letter calls “morale of employees within the department” and the “proportional disparity” of county services compared to the county’s “financial contribution to the department.”

Musgrave said the letter was the second request for “meaningful collaboration” with Winnecke.

For his part, the mayor says he’s available to meet each day this week and on Monday.

Winnecke urged Musgrave to “reach out to our office to confirm a convenient time.”

Musgrave faces fellow Republican Natalie Rascher for the party’s mayoral nomination in the May 2nd Primary.
