Scrabble players have an opportunity to compete and raise money for two Evansville non-profits. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The first Help the Community Scrabble Tournament is set for June 3rd at VFW Post 1114 on Wabash Avenue.
Organizers say proceeds from the daytime tourney will go to the Vanderburgh Humane Society and Aurora.
A silent auction is also planned.
The tourney will consist of three competing levels: pro, semi-pro, and fun.
Tickets for the pro and semi-pro teams are $40 per team. Tickets for the fun tables are $30.
