The March 7th meeting will offer updates and take public comments

A public hearing is set for next month on planned improvements to the Lloyd Expressway on Evansville’s East Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:

Officials say they’ll share updates on the Lloyd4U project, focusing on four intersections: Vann Avenue, Stockwell Road, Burkhardt Road, and Cross Pointe Boulevard.

The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to invest more than $150 million to make the Lloyd “more efficient and safer for motorists to navigate” from the Posey County line to Cross Pointe.

Officials say the work will include intersection improvements, bridge replacements, pavement replacement, and more.

No new interchanges are planned. Officials have called those too costly.

The hearing is set for Tuesday, March 7 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Crescent Room at Milestones at the corner of Cullen and Bellemeade avenues.
