A boil water advisory has been issued for a portion of western Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The German Township Water District says the advisory is for St. Wendel customers from the intersection of St. Wendel Road and St Joe Road, north to Buente Road.
The advisory also includes the Whispering Hills Subdivision and W. Schmitt Lane.
The water district says the temporary precautionary measure was prompted by damage to a water main.
Officials say all cooking and drinking water from the tap should be brought to a complete boil for five minutes before using – until the advisory is lifted.
