If you’re a veteran and you want to learn more about the PACT act, you may want to circle next Wednesday on your calendar. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:
The Marion Veteran Affairs Health Care System will conduct a Town Hall about the landmark legislation February 8th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at VFW Post 1114 on Wabash Avenue in Evansville.
Executive Director Zach Sage and staff from the Indianapolis VA Regional Office will speak about the PACT Act.
It extends benefits to veterans that experienced toxic exposure while serving in the military during the Gulf War, the Vietnam War, or at Camp Lejeune when the camp’s water was contaminated.
Officials say the measure will also help veterans exposed to radiation.
Veterans attending the town hall can register for care, receive a flu shot and/or Covid booster, and access various services from the Marion VA.
