NWS

Deepest snow accumulations are expected north and west of the Evansville area

Forecasters say wet snow is on the way to the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Evansville area from 6:00 Tuesday evening until noon Wednesday.

Forecasters are predicting wet snow accumulations of up to two inches.

Higher amounts are expected north and west of Evansville.

Wabash, Edwards, and Knox counties are under a Winter Storm Warning.

Forecasters predict a sharp drop-off between areas that see accumulating snow and those that don’t.

Winds gusting as high as 30 mph are expected across the Tri-State.

Forecasters warn of slippery road conditions, especially during Wednesday’s morning commute.
