Attic fire sent forced residents out

A house fire on Evansville’s West Side has displaced three people. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Firefighters were called to 720 Bell Avenue just after 7:00 Monday night.

Upon arrival, they found light smoke and traced the fire to an attic space above the bathroom and kitchen.

EFD Division Chief Mike Larson says the fire was considered fully extinguished in less than 15 minutes and nobody was injured.

The Red Cross was notified that two adults and one child were displaced.

Larson said the occupants had housing for the night.

The fire remains under investigation.
