Ground will be broken this month for a senior housing complex in Evansville’s Jacobsville neighborhood. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The Partnership for Affordable Housing says the groundbreaking for Baker Flats is set for January 24th at Illinois and Baker streets, near the new Forge on Main complex.
The group says the $11 million dollar, 52-unit housing community will provide “much needed senior housing in the Jacobsville neighborhood.”
PAH says the complex will offer eligible residents -- ages 55 and over -- “quality, modern living.”
The nearby Forge on Main opened last year. A Dollar General Market is planned for the first story of that apartment complex.
