Donation to Boost Athletics in Dawson Springs
Casey's and Gatorade donate $100,000 for youth baseball, softball fields
A convenience store chain and a popular sports drink are boosting youth athletics in Dawson Springs, Kentucky – one year after a devastating tornado. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Casey’s and Gatorade have donated $100,000 to Independence Banks’ Horses of Hope project.
The money will go toward rebuilding the baseball and softball fields in Dawson Springs.
The fields were damaged by last December’s deadly tornado.
The EF-4 twister claimed 15 lives in the western Kentucky town.
Tornadoes killed dozens more and left huge swaths of destruction across the commonwealth.
