A pharmaceutical company with a plant in Posey County is making a donation to the EVSC Foundation. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
AstraZeneca in Mount Vernon is donating $18,000 to the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center.
The donation will provide four $4,000 scholarships for EVSC students interested in pursuing post-secondary studies in a STEM-related field.
The EVSC Foundation says the scholarships will be available to all graduating seniors, with at least one of the scholarships awarded to a student from a traditionally underrepresented background.
The Tech Center on Lynch Road in Evansville offers advanced career and technical education as well as workforce development and training for all of southwest Indiana.
