Tri-State Aero has been sold. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The general aviation facility at Evansville Regional Airport is being acquired by Evansville-based United Companies.
United is comprised of United Leasing & Finance, Professional Transportation, the Romain Automotive Group, United Cutwater, and now Tri-State Aero.
In a release, Tri-State owner John Zeidler said the only way he would part with the company was if he found a partner like the Romain family and United Companies.
Zeidler said he has “no doubt that they are the right organization to grow Tri-State Aero into the future.”
United Companies Chairman Ron Romain said he considers Tri-State a “vitally important asset” to the community.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tri-State Aero was founded in 1963 and is a FAA Authorized Repair Station capable of upgrading, installing, troubleshooting, and re-certifying a variety of aircraft systems.
