Fall Festival Jackpot Soars Past $1 Million

WSNC

Half Pot tickets are on sale until 2:00 Saturday afternoon

The Fall Festival’s half pot drawing has surpassed a million dollars. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

By mid-afternoon Friday, the jackpot was near $1.1 million and steadily rising.

The wildly popular drawing has become a big part of the Nut Club’s week-long festival on W. Franklin St., since it was introduced in 2019.

While the pandemic cancelled the festival in 2020, the half-pot was still held via drive-up sales with an eventual $1.39 million jackpot.

The jackpot topped $1.5 million last year.

This year’s half pot tickets are on sale at the festival until 2:00 Saturday afternoon.

The drawing is set for 8 p.m. Saturday.

The winner does not have to be present.

Half the jackpot goes to the winner, while the Nut Club distributes the other half to local non-profits.
