If you want to receive the new COVID-19 booster or the seasonal flu vaccine, you may want to mark October 1st on your calendar. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Vanderburgh County Health Department will host a drive-through vaccine clinic that morning at Ivy Tech.
It will be in the large parking lot on the north side of the facility, and participants should enter off Tremont Drive.
Seasonal flu vaccine and Pfizer’s bivalent COVID-19 vaccine boosters will be offered.
The health department prefers you make an appointment at https://vanderburghhealth.org/vaccination-clinic/.
If you have questions, you can call 812-435-2400, option 7.
The department says staying up to date on COVID-19 vaccine boosters and getting an annual flu shot offers the best protection against serious respiratory illness, hospitalization, and even death.
You’re eligible for a bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster if you are 12 or older, have completed a primary COVID-19 vaccine series, and it’s been at least two months since your last COVID shot.
Flu vaccines are recommended for all people ages 6 months and older.
