Recycling Resumes After Equipment Failure

File

Evansville's residential service was stopped for two weeks

Residential recycling returns to Evansville this week. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility says Republic Services is resuming recycling collections for Week B on Monday.

Recycling for Week A will resume next Monday, September 19th.

The service was stopped at the end of August when the baling machine at Tri-State Resource Recovery stopped working and crews had to wait for parts needed to repair it.

The wait turned out to be longer than expected and officials had to delay the resumption of service until Monday.
