Local elected officials are invited to get a taste of firefighting. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The Evansville Professional Fire Fighters Local 357 will host a program this Saturday called Fire OPS 101.
The daylong program will include hands-on firefighting and rescue scenarios.
The Fire Fighters Local says participants will experience first-hand the challenges and physical demands of keeping the community safe.
The group says each scenario will be overseen by “Evansville’s Bravest” at the EFD Training Tower on Buchanan Road.
Scenarios on Saturday will include forcible entry, battling live fire, vehicle extrication, ladder climb, search and rescue, EMS, and CPR.
