Evansville’s residential recycling program has been suspended for a week due to equipment problems. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The city says the baling machine at Tri-State Resource Recovery stopped working and parts needed to repair it may not be available until later this week.
Recycling collections are expected to resume next Tuesday on Week A. Recycling collections for Week B will resume the following Monday, September 12th.
The water and sewer utility says if Evansville residents need an alternative to holding their recyclables until the next scheduled collection day, they can drop them off at the Laubscher Meadows Convenience Center Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Laubscher Meadows is on N. St. Joe Avenue near Wimberg Road.
