More than 1,700 EWSU Customers Receiving Assistance

File

More credits are available

More than 1,700 Evansville water customers are receiving a break on their bills. And as WNIN’s John Gibson reports, more relief is available:

The Bill Relief Program launched by the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility last month provides a $10-a-month credit for eligible customers for one year.

The credit offsets the water rate increase that went into effect July 1st.

Customers who reside in the city limits with an active water account and have a household income of $50,000 or less may qualify for the assistance.

After one year, customers may have the opportunity to reapply for the program for another 12 months or while funds last.

Customers can fill out the online application at ewsu.com/BillRelief.

Applicants will receive an email verifying the application was received and whether the request was approved or denied.
