The Germania Maennerchor Volksfest is underway on Evansville’s West Side. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
It’s the 60th year for the festival celebrating German Heritage at the group’s headquarters on Fulton Avenue.
The fest offers homemade German meals -- eat in or carry-out – a beer garden with wine available too, and live German music every evening.
On its Facebook page, Germania promises the band will play the Chicken Dance.
The club serves lunch starting at 11:00 today and tomorrow (Sat).
The event is limited to adults ages 21 and over after 2pm.
A $5 cover charge starts at 4pm.
