Utility crews have reduced the number of CenterPoint customers without power to a few hundred. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
As of Thursday morning, about 300 CenterPoint customers were still in the dark and dealing with hot temperatures.
Strong storms knocked down trees, limbs, and power lines Monday night, cutting power to more than 30,000.
In a release, CenterPoint says the remaining customers without power are tied to smaller outages, where the restoration process moves at a slower rate.
The utility company says it’s reaching out to those customers with “additional information” and a timeframe for their service to be restored.
The company expects outages for some customers to last until Friday.
