The Vanderburgh County Health Department is planning an immunization blitz later this month. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The event on Saturday, July 30th, will also involve agencies that provide information and services, such as assistance with insurance, connection to primary care, and education on childhood safety.

Parents are urged to call 812-435-2400 and hit option 1 to schedule an appointment for the immunization blitz.

The department says walk-ins may be accepted if staffing allows.

Health Department Director Joe Gries (grease) says all kids who get vaccinated will receive a goody bag.

They’ll also have a chance to win a prize including gift cards, a bicycle, and an Xbox.
