The Hadi Shrine in Evansville has drawn the winning ticket in its Hadi Half Pot. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The shrine’s public relations director, Sam Myers, announced the winning number as it was unveiled on a TV screen:
"A 603257"
Tickets went on sale during last month’s ShrinersFest and wrapped up on Sunday with the jackpot above $216,000.
The winner will receive about $108,000.
Myers says the proceeds will stay in Evansville:
"This is a local fundraiser for us to help us pay our expenses as we get out and support the community."
It was the second year for the Hadi Half-Pot.
