Federal Funds Headed to EVV for Terminal Upgrades

File

$3.4 million is part of the Biden Administration's infrastructure plan

Federal money is on the way for improvements to Evansville Regional Airport. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The $3.4 million is coming from the Federal Aviation Administration.

On its website, the FAA says the funding will improve outdated HVAC equipment, lighting, and passenger access systems.

The improvements are expected to be energy efficient and improve accessibility for passengers with functional needs.

The projects are part of the Biden Administration’s nearly $1Billion Infrastructure Law to improve airport terminals across the U.S.

The money comes as Evansville Regional is working to restore flights to Chicago, after both American and United stopped their service.
