EWSU and Berry Global are teaming up to collect trash

An Evansville corporation is working with the city to clean up the riverfront. WNIN's Sarah Kuper has more on Saturday's litter collection event:

Nearly 150 Evansville Water and Sewer Utility and Berry Global corporation employees will be spending Saturday morning walking Evansville's riverfront collecting trash along the way.

The clean-up is part of a larger event called the Ohio River Sweep - a volunteer effort that extends the entire length of the Ohio River. The initiative calls for public and private partners in the six states adjacent to the Ohio to care for the waterway.

The event begins at 8am with comments from Berry Global and EWSU leadership. Participants will meet at the Four Freedom's Monument.
