Dubois County plant will take the brunt of the job losses

An Evansville-based company with a plant in Dubois County that produces sample materials is cutting 81 jobs. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Leed Selling Tools and Leed Logistics announced the job cuts in a WARN notice to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

The company said seven non-union positions in Evansville and 74 in Ireland, Indiana will be eliminated July 31st.

Most of the job cuts are in manufacturing.

The cuts are part of an acquisition of Leed by Sampling International, which will move some of Leed’s production activities.

The company said affected employees are being notified.
