Grace of Christ Slavic Church will hold "Support Ukraine Fest" Saturday, June 11th beginning at 9 a.m. at the corner of S. Green River Road and Washington Avenue in the old Schnuck's parking lot.
The event is an opportunity for the public to enjoy homemade Ukrainian specialties, inflatables for kids and activities for adults. Perhaps most importantly, organizers say it is a chance to get to know local Ukrainian immigrants and those who have recently escaped the war in Ukraine.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Grace of Christ Mission for Ukraine. This mission was established at the beginning of the war to send money to friends and family. Those Ukrainians are then bringing food, medicine and escape opportunities to people in their communities.
