More than 200 new COVID-19 infections have been counted in western Kentucky while the death toll has risen by two. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
The Green River District Health Department recorded 207 new cases in the past week, up ten from the previous week.
The seven-county district also added two COVID-related deaths, one from Henderson County and the other from Ohio County.
The COVID-19 Community Levels for all counties in the district were classified as low.
The levels are based on hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID cases.
The department urges residents to follow CDC recommendations for isolation and quarantine, including getting tested if you’re exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms.
