COVID-19 has canceled this weekend’s performances at Evansville’s Civic Theatre. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The theater on Fulton Avenue says the final three performances of “Into the Breeches” have been canceled due to what it calls “a recent influx of COVID-19 infections” among the cast.
Last weekend’s performances also had to be called-off.
Managing Artistic Director Kevin Roach said Civic Theatre hoped to present performances this weekend, but concern for the health and safety of the actors, volunteers, and patrons made it “no longer a viable option.”
Roach also said performers’ scheduling conflicts make postponing the shows impossible.
People who purchased tickets for the canceled performances can receive a refund, a discount on tickets for the soon-to-be-announced 97th season, or a voucher for a ticket to any individual performance next season.
