CenterPoint Energy is reminding customers that its extended utility moratorium for Indiana residents expires this month. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Texas-based utility company says disconnections for non-payment will resume June 13th.
Customers with past due balances are urged to contact CenterPoint to discuss payment options and resources available to avoid service disruption.
CenterPoint says customers with a past due balance will receive a phone call and email reminding them the extended grace period is ending.
The company says extended payment arrangements will still be offered to customers needing assistance.
CenterPoint has faced heavy criticism for utility bills that skyrocketed last winter.
