Ceremonies were conducted across the Tri-State

Memorial Day ceremonies honored fallen soldiers across the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Dozens of people gathered at Evansville’s LST 325 Monday morning to honor the fallen. The World War Two ship fired its cannon as part of the ceremony.

Retired Navy Captain Dr. Mark Browning spoke during the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville. That event was sponsored by the American Legion Funkhouser Post #8.

Dozens of people also filled Locust Hill Cemetery on Kratzville Road to honor the fallen. The Retired Veterans Memorial Club of Vanderburgh County performed a 21-gun salute there.

Henderson residents gathered at Central Park to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Retired Air Force Major General Richard Frymire was the featured speaker there.
